The Orangeburg Festival of Roses Committee would like to extend a cordial welcome to this special weekend celebration.  We hope that you will enjoy the beautiful Edisto Memorial Gardens, which is the center of activities for the festival, and that you will attend and participate in many of the weekend events.  An award winning festival established and nurtured through the years, comes at a time when we view the beauty of our proud and hallowed gardens. The success lies with the continuing effort and cooperation between the City of Orangeburg and the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce. This year's event will be no exception.  Something is planned for all ages.

The Edisto Memorial Gardens are easily accessible via Interstate 26 and 95.  U.S. 301 and 601 pass by the Gardens on their route from Florida and New York. Over 600,000 visitors experience the Gardens each year.  Visitors come from all fifty states and some foreign countries.

The Gardens are located within the City limits on U.S. Highway 301 just four blocks form the heart of the City.  The average peak Spring blooms of crabapple, azaleas, dogwood, etc. is from March 15 to April 15.  Roses begin blooming soon after the middle of April and continue until the first killing frost of November. These dates
may vary form year to year depending on the weather conditions.
